I would love you to look this caterpillar up if you can Lora. It was about 7-8 cm long and really fat! It was feasting on leaves from my orange tree. I'm guessing orchard swallowtail, but entomology is not my strong suit.

Yup definitely Orchard Swallowtail, love their citrus they do. Did you poke it and get his stinkhorns happening?
