I hung around this Bull Ant nest for ages trying to get photos, but most of the time I was looking around my feet because these guys are sooo agressive and fast, they were actually rearing up at me one got on my lens. I have been bitten while gardening and it's very painful for days then unbelievably itchy for ages too. Only the head part in is focus but it took me so long I had to use one of the photos.
My nemesis ,we have these little blighters on our property, I was attacked last weekend while clearing undergrowth near the creek, man, they are aggressive. No way am I going near them with a camera :-)
This would make a great shot for the March Macro theme! You were one brave gal to dare to even attempt this photo, much less stick it out until you got a pic. Excellent macro.
@lyndemc I was determined, but it was hard as my mind was always on me getting out of their way! They move so quick so it's nearly impossible to get a good clear shot!
@archaeofrog It's not a very good clear photo Katie, but they are so quick and nasty so I had one eye trying to get photo and one eye watching where they were it seemed, needed eyes in the back of my head.
