i keep trying to visualise how you shot/lit this or what it is and i just cant - so intriguing! were you shooting this from above and how does the powder look so golden lit while the background remains blue? Super cool
@izzyromilly thank you Izzy! Camera on tripod, parallel to a grey background. Sunlight was arriving 30 cm from the background, that remained in the shadow. I set the self timer and shot while letting a thin yellow sand pour through my fingers in the sunlit area. The wind made the rest
