2016.01.20 Wednesday: Although we had a winter weather advisory until noon today, we ended up just getting a nice amount of rain. Yesterday's constant activity at our bird feeders calmed down for today, but I was happy to still see more activity than usual ...I believe that the birds have spread the word about our new supply of seed! This Downy woodpecker stopped by several times today to see what was on the buffet ...and posed for a few moments while he calmly looked the scene over.
It's so hard to get a bird to hold still! I try to take pictures of my hens and they move their heads so fast! Got some good ones today and it's hard to decide which picture to put up on the 365! So then I just put them on Facebook.
How awesome!!! I love to watch birds and the woodpeckers are some of my favorites!! I had some last year, but none yet this year. We hear them in the back woods! Love your POV and that red tuft on the back of his head!! Beautiful background, looks like a painting!! FAV!
