2017.02.17 Friday: Today was Day 1 of the 2017 Great Backyard Bird Count. In addition to counting birds in my back yard, I also packed a picnic lunch and went birding at two of my favorite "hotspots": Adtran Pond and the UAH Duck Pond. Both turned out to have a wonderful variety of birds, so I had a quite fruitful outing -- and a very nice time walking!
