Think back to 1940 when Britain was at war .. Men, deemed unfit for the forces, cycling or walking in the black-out enforced darkness, so they could do their part for King and country and man the network of pill boxes that had sprung up across the country.
This one is located near Stock, Essex and is a lasting monument to the bravery of the years gone by.
