@timerskine the EX is my dad's. it is still in fairly good condition and i believe it was bought in 1972. I learned to take pictures on this thing, though I have forgotten a lot of it. And when I was editor of my high school year book, I sometimes filled in for the yearbook photographer with it. Still works too.
Cool concept. You should do a series of these "then and now" shots. I'm also a fan of Irving Berlin and the American Songbook. The third Canon was the one you used for the shot. Nice!
@adamj thanks, Adam. I have another picture in mind for an "Anything you can do I can do better" theme. Also it was shot with my third Canon camera. I guess I like Canons lol.
@tonydebont that's a good idea! I think I will try that. Actually I am often snapping pics of the same subject with my various cameras. Should be neat to post results.
@adamj you know, you've unwittingly given me an idea to use songs from the great American Songbook for inspiration for pics instead of just my iPod. Ha! Thanks :)
hehehe...funny caption made me laugh! great shot! reminds me of the Olympus OM-1 I first used - learnt a lot using it as it had a faulty lightmeter so I used to use the dof preview to gauge and work out the exposure setting...I have grown lazy with my modern cameras hehehe!
One of my friends once told me that the best camera you could ever possibly have is the one that is in your hands. :D
We've seen the EOS before in your selfies, but what's the story behind the EX?
