VIP

One of the experiences I've had living in a great city such as New York, is being close to people who are musicians, artists, actors, etc. I mean, you can't fling a dead cat in this city without hitting someone who has tried the entertainment business or knows a friend of a friend in a band, in an off-broadway show, an artist, singer, dancer, model, actor, etc.

I remember nights when I used to work from 10-6, work an event from 8-12pm (I worked in the media industry) and THEN go to a boyfriend's show in the Meatpacking District or LES or the Village at 1am and not end my night until 3am or later.

I can't believe I burned the candle at both ends like that. And often. I certainly can't party like it's 1999 anymore. But, boy, it sure was fun...getting comped drinks or whatnot with fun little chips like the ones pictures above.

Good times.

Have a good weekend all!
Unfortunately, I cannot relate. I did not experience much of the party scene or late night fun that most people have. I can imagine it though, and I certainly knew of it's existence. I didn't know about these VIP chips. That's pretty cool. Are these souvenirs, or current issue?

@tonydebont actually I am not much of a party girl. The notion makes me smile because no one would peg me as one. I mostly went along with thing because my friends or whoever I was dating were the partying type. But I have enjoyed city night life and have enjoyed my share of that kind of scene to a degree - minus the excessive drinking and drugging. well i cant say i never drank.... It's fun but way too hard and fast a lifestyle for me.

Nostalgia! I was never into drugs or smoking, but had my fair share of dancing and partying till the early hours of the morning! I was indeed a party animal hehehe...I still don't get to sleep before 2 or 3am these days but its usually related to work, or trying to catch up with my hobbies after long working hours! But I can relate to one thing...nowadays I prefer relaxing at home to going out! Cool nostalgic shot! :)
