In other news, my oldest sister is in town for a few days, which is always a good time.
However...
Today, we went to buy a card for a cousin who recently announced his upcoming nuptials. She asked me to help pick out a card to give to him. I picked out one which had a very lovely sentiment about marriage but wasn't overly sappy and sweet.
She said, "I saw that one. Didn't like it."
What was not to like?
She said, "Too many words."
Whaaaat? Lol.
I said, "Are you fucking kidding me?"
She wasn't.
Soooo...we went with another card with less words and more pictures. Haha.
The photo is cool but the title is even better! Makes me think of Jim Gaffigan...about the strange ritual of buying cards with a stranger's words already written on them "That's something I'd say". Just adding our name at the bottom. It is a strange ritual!!
@anzere03 it is a strange ritual indeed. I once dated a French guy (born in France) and I once wanted to buy his mom a birthday card and he was all, "We (meaning the French) don't do cards." Perhaps it's an American thing? Lol either way, it is slightly bizarre. But I still do it anyway.
