I saw a woman on the train with a Bottega Veneta purse today. Then, as I was perusing the latest copy of InStyle mag when I got home, I opened up to this ad. It's the universe speaking to me lol.
Have you ever felt leather so rich? So buttery?
That's a Bottega Veneta purse for you.
I'm not much of a purse girl. In fact, I don't own designer labels of anything right now as I've made sacrifices to get out of debt, pay off school loans and make a career change. But I want to reward myself with something nice...before my life becomes laden with financial responsibilities which might not allow me to spend frivolously on a stylish purse. A girl can dream, right?
Hmmm. Maybe next year, when I (hopefully) reach the next milestone in my career, I'll reward myself with this.
How do you reward yourself when you've worked hard for something?
"Cuz that's what ya gotta do!" :) You definitely need to reward yourself. You work too hard not to! I typically reward myself with clothes and vacations :)
Nice capture of that item you crave. As for rewarding myself, I am thankful for every day I live and then I lash out and book an ocean cruise while I still can. In these twilight years I don't work very hard at anything any more.
@islandk8 "Cuz that's what ya gotta do!" Best advice EVER lol. I still remember the day those words were spoken. I like to reward myself with vacations too, when or if I can.
@carolb go take yourself on a vacation, girl! ;). I sometimes struggle with guilt about spending money on myself even if I have it. I spend a long time deciding and debating if I should treat myself, to even little things. But I've learned that it's healthier to be kind to myself and reward myself when I deserve it. Because, hey, we work hard and if no one else is gonna pat ourselves on the back or do something nice for us, might as well do it for ourselves.
I don't give myself rewards. I just live the lifestyle that I can afford now and work hard to be the best at what I do. This is mainly because I don't have the will power to deprive myself until I hit a milestone. I have yet to figure out if this is because I'm too smart to stick with it or too dumb.
You might want to consider setting up a PayPal account and asking for donations to help you get your Bodega Vendetta purse. A few more LBD shots would help the cause considerably.
Anyhoo, this is a good picture. Love the depth of the foreground curled page and the tack-sharp focus on the Bottega Veneta, all set off by the jet black background. Well done.
@timerskine haha Bodega Vendetta. I like that. Sounds like a TV movie about a NYC deli out for revenge. As for the PayPal account for a LBD? Ha. That's too self-serving for me. But it's an idea! Thanks for the comment on the pic, btw. :)
This is an awesome ad for Bottega Veneta. You should submit it to them and ask if they are interested in using it (= buiyng it). I really think you should Ms. T. Also your story/ comment should go with it...I think it's great.
BTW if they accept it, you could ask them for a complimentary bag or buy it with the resulting money.
I'm going to go do some more research for a vacation.
But I wanna wait until I reach that next milestone. Will make the reward so much sweeter. Also can't decide which style I want...
Maybe I should just get a macro lens......
@anzere03 exactly! You know it. Lol.
