Cute outfit. Love the color of your tank. Sexy angle. Wow, 12 years already and still remember it like it was yesterday. Were you living there then? I can't imagine how hard that would have been to have been right there!
@amandal thanks for checking it out, Amanda. Yep it's been 12 years. NYC to me is divided into two parts in my mind, in a way. There's the NYC before 2001 and NYC after. When I moved there in 1994 for college, it was so different. Obviously 9/11/01 changed things for most everyone. I knew people who were downtown when it was all happening...You could still smell the jet fuel in that area well into October. I remember feeling on edge in the following weeks after that. There's a lot I remember...and a lot I've forgotten too. Probably better that way as well.
@anzere03 interesting thing - in the months before 9/11/01 I was in between jobs and was actually contemplating moving to Hawaii to live with a friend out there to start a "new life" of sorts. After 9/11, ironically there was no other place I wanted to be but in New York and close to my friends and family, despite all the things that were going on.
@fauxtography365 it's a great selfie pose! Wish i could get the hang of focus like that...I have had a knot in my stomach, been feeling it for the last few days. I give thanks that all my loved ones made it home that day, even if some of them are still affected in different ways even today.
Hope you feel better
Nice crisp image. Very pleasing to view in more ways than one. On a somber note, yeah, it's unbelievable that it's been 12 years. It will be a very introspective day for all of who experienced that day.
