I was given this bottle of perfume...and I kind of don't like it. But I've been wearing it and getting compliments. It seems...too musky and unisex for what I normally like.
There is a woman who rides the train with me who constantly smells like cinnamon sugar. It's cloying and sometimes gets to my nose. I've figured out she wears Pink Sugar as her perfume -- too much of it, actually. Another gentleman on my evening train wears this heavy scent, which I find...kinda awful, unfortunately. There's another dude who used to sit next to me on my morning train who smelled so so good - just a nice clean, non-overpowering scent. I wish I knew what cologne it was. He was good looking too. Hmm. I wonder where he went.
Today on the ride home, I didn't see my usual train buddies. Just stood next to some guy who smelled like sweat and...utter disappointment.
This really could be an ad for Chanel, very cool. you made me laugh about the way your train buddies smell. I see my eye doc this week and he might be the best smelling man I have ever met, its one doc I don't mind going to see!
Again, and again..great use of light and composition..love the reflections
the fingers look so long and the nail polish...as always very creative..I really admire your photos
Professional grade marketing shot here, Ms. T. Way to go.
Regarding your second comment about not liking a scent that others compliment. My take on things are that the scent I choose to wear isn't for me, it's for her. If the Missus likes it and it doesn't cause me to be nauseous, it's what I'm wearing.
So, for your musky and unisex perfume, if your husband likes it, you should embrace it and learn to like it.
This image would be great if you had placed a mirror under your hand. The contrast of black bottle, skin tones and vivid red nails, and the symmetry would look fantastic
@tracys I'd been wanting to ask the guy and finally decided how to do it in (hopefully) non-creeper way but then he vanished on me lol. Thanks for commenting!
@timerskine thanks, Tim! Funny thing, my husband doesn't respond either way to the perfumes I wear and I think he would prefer I don't wear any. So when I wear perfume these days it is for me. But I agree with you, I would like to wear a scent that my partner finds pleasing.
@orangecrush thanks! It actually smells good as a scent in general. But I think it may be too sophisticated a perfume for me lol.
@fishy thanks and, yes, a strong scent may be more pleasant than body odor!
I did work for CHANEL in 2009 and 2010 (not photography - training programs, elearning and video) and this is as good as the product shots provided to by the company for my programs. Very, very nice shot.

@jean_willis too bad I don't have a mirror!
Nice work :-)
