You let me complicate you... by fauxtography365

You let me complicate you...

You can have my isolation
You can have the hate that it brings
You can have my absence of faith
You can have my everything

Help me...
You tear down my reason
Help me...
It's your sex I can smell
Help me...
You make me perfect
Help me become
somebody else

I wanna....

(10 points if you can finish the lyric without googling it. Been having this song in my head since I heard it this morning. This is the pic that came to mind for it)
great image - very powerful!

@kylec hey thanks, Kyle! But the million dollar question is...do you know the song? There were so many ways I could've done depicted an image for this song but I didn't have a lot of props or tools for the other things I had in mind...

Knew the song, but had to Google, to get the lyrics right in my head. Fitting image, has an intensity to it. Nice job pushing things :)

no idea on the song... sorry. But brave shot eh?

;)

@baznman thanks. I had wanted to do something else for this but thought better to leave more to imagination. Thought my husband's figure behind me would've made the picture more complete but...he wasn't home when I took this lol.

@bobfoto lol thanks. I guess when in doubt, say it's brave...?

It's NiN. Imagination works. You, my dear, are encouraging all of us to raise our game and get out of the vanilla. Strong image. You know exactly what is going on and you can't look away. Now I can't get that song out of my head....nice work!

No way on god's green earth can I finish this lyric. I think we have different tastes in music. What I can tell you is that this shot and the processing is very, very effective. The focal usage and bit of a grainy overlay works great. Your positioning conveys intensity. Very well composed.

@adamj thanks Adam. The rest of the lyric is... "I wanna fuck you like an animal."

Wow! Love the mystery, image and lyrics

Ms T, I am speechless. All I can say is Ms T, my efforts to expand what I photograph pale when compared to your photos! Very provocative photo, very nicely done. Amazing, absolutely amazing!

@fauxtography365 I need to get out more!!
October 31st, 2013
Powerful lyrics and awesome capture.
October 31st, 2013
@fauxtography365 LOL - I was 75% sure of the next line - but just in case I did not want to throw that out there and be wrong - could you imagine - LOL

Tom
Very powerful image..perfect with the lyrics. Great use of the hand position and tension in it to convey the strong emotions.Very, very creative.

Perfect processing for communicating effectively -- in fact, you don't even need the lyric at all because your photo says it all!

@thomastoth glad you knew what the song was. I had it in my head all day... Thanks for checking it out, Thomas!

@adamj here's the video in case you were curious: http://vevo.ly/h9B2tm
The video has so many powerful and disturbing images, my pic doesn't come close at all but I thought I'd give it a try.

@kylec lol!! That would've been funny.

@thirdjoe thank you for your kind words!! It's interesting what makes a viewer react to something. It's true about the whole eye of the beholder thing... I am often found speechless at pics of beautiful landscapes, cityscapes, or sunsets. I can't capture it how I would like to.

@mhusch @tonydebont @tosee thanks for your comments. It is always nice to get feedback. I usually have my earphones in my head everyday for the hour I commute to work and the hour back. Songs are constantly floating in my mind and images to accompany them. I sometimes try to think how I can capture it and make it my photo for the day. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Glad you all took the time yo check it out!

@jyokota thanks! I thought about just leaving the image with no title or words. Perhaps it would have evoked a slightly different reaction.

@adamj @thomastoth P.S. my depiction of this video is vanilla compared to it. Lol the irony.

@fauxtography365 I had to stop watching once I saw the monkey. Thanks though. Now, at least I know about this song and the band.
October 31st, 2013
@adamj the song is pretty sexy though. Without the disturbing images the beat is hot.
October 31st, 2013
@fauxtography365 That's good. I can use a little "hot" in my life ;)

Haven't heard that song in so long. Makes me feel old. I love the intensity of this image.

@jbc2013 I think I was 16 when this song came out... Over 20 years ago...? Sheesh.
October 31st, 2013
very provocative but extremely effective .. honestly I didnt know the remaining lyrics ... but I guessed ... and guessed pretty close it seems ... obviously the picture told a story and told it well :-) ... I just realized my jaw was still 'dropped' :-)
