Today I was lucky enough to photograph the tiny northern saw-whet owl. You can see by the mouse how big the owl really is. It has been on my bucket list. Such a sweet little owl!
I have one owl picture it is of a snowy owl but it's face is turned away from me. So just to get a great picture of an owl would make my day but one like this would see me doing cartwheels.
@skipt07 I did not go to a sanctuary ... got a tip from a fellow photographer that there were owls and hawks at a park about 45 minutes away from where I live ... so went to investigate and was not dissappointed.
@fayefaye - The reason I asked was your string of photos of birds of prey! We have hawks, owls and now I guess eagles in our area. But we rarely see owls. Occasionally hawks will appear in trees on the edge of our property. I didn't know if birds of prey were more prevalent in Canada?
