Monday was a grey, wet and miserable day. I was waiting for a break in the rain so I could go to the local supermarket. Around 3pm my opportunity came, and as an afterthought I put my camera in my rucksack.
The route there takes me past Rawcliffe Lake, an artificial lake created in the 1980s to assist with the drainage and control of the water table in the area when Clifton Moor was being developed for housing, shops and industry.
I was returning round the lake as the sun was setting, and there were lovely views of impressive skies. However, I preferred this view when the colour in the sky was past it's best, but I'd got to where there were good reflections on the lake.
I was certainly worth waiting until this part of the day for my walk to the supermarket!
