The bus back from St. Luke's Hospice, where mum is staying, often gets stuck in city centre traffic. I have taken to getting off at different stops to see what I can snap.I found this on my way from The Moor to the railway station travelling along lesser known roads.
This figure is part of a mural by the street artist named Phlegm. It adorns the wall of the beer garden belonging to the Rutland Arms
Phlegm is from Sheffield and specialises in detailed, intricate, surreal figures in black and white.
Great find and shot. Make sure you find a little you time. My mum is 94 and we are going to Ireland in October. That will give one of my sister's a chance for a break, she will probably spend some time with my sister in Cornwall.
Great find Katharine - if the device is a camera... it brings a whole new meaning to the concept of capturing an image! Hope your Mum is comfortable in the hospice.
@dide Thank you. Travelling is now getting to be a part of life. Mum is very frail and sleeps a lot but we still manage to have some good conversations. katharine
@ceilidh Thank you Margaret. I manage the me time at a Pilates class on Mondays and 365 can be very therapeutic. I hope you enjoy your time with your mum and your sister enjoys a break. Katharine
@vignouse Thank you Richard. The image is one of a series where more gadgets and additions appear on the box. I can't get a shot of the series as taxis park in front of it when not working. One day ...... Mum is very well looked after at the hospice and is kept pain free. She likes a chat with the staff and retains her sense of humour. Dad is also cared for when he is there. katharine
Did like the art, the find and you capture.
