Lego is such great fun, and my grandson is a great fan. I've been staying with my daughter and family over the past few days (hence the lack of posts), looking after my grandson who was off school due to illness. He got his latest Lego set out - Dr Who's Tardis, and some of the Doctor's enemies.
For those of you not familiar with Dr Who, it is the story of a space and time traveller which has been on BBC TV in the UK since the early 1960s, and which I watched regularly as a child. It was revived a few years ago, and this shot shows two of the recent enemies of the Doctor - two Daleks (which also date back to the 1960s) and a Weeping Angel.
love this shot. my granddaughter now had begun watching Dr. Who and it is so amazing to have a whole new generation interested in this wonderful show. sounds lie you are having a great visit.
@seattlite In all honesty, I wouldn't bother!
Is a resident of Saettle a Seattlite? I live in Chorley and I have never discovered if I am a Chorleyite, a Chorlean or a Charley.
Great shot and clarity. Playing with the grandkids makes you feel young again, doesn't it? I went with my sone (45years old now) to see the last film on Star Warsk - didn't understand much but enjoyed the film.
Thank you all for your comments, they are very much appreciated.
There are two main themes linked to this shot - Dr Who and Lego. Dr Who was a must see programme during my teens in the 1960's, and I've enjoyed some of the recent revival, particularly whild David Tennant played the role of Dr Who. Lego is another memory from childhood. My brother and I had Lego to play with. Later, my older daughter was a keen enthusiast, and now both her children love to play with it. It's nice to see such a fun toy span the generations.
Thank you both for your comments. At my mums house there is still Lego that my brother and I played with over 50 years ago, and it still gets played with when my grandchildren visit her!
