Japanese gardens. by gamelee

Japanese gardens.

A nine mile local circular walk today. I walk this route quite regularly because it encompasses an area named Rivington which I enjoy, I've posted a few image on this site of the Rivington area during my time on 365. Today's walk was slightly different though, my wife came too so not so much time taken up with stopping and taking photos.
My photo is a view of an area within Rivington once know as the Japanese gardens. this link explains more..... http://www.rivingtonheritagetrust.co.uk/index.php/gardens/

Great shot. I have heard that they are going to renovate the gardens at Rivington. I hope it goes ahead!

@chris17 A £3.4 million Heritage Lottery Fund grant has been awarded which is great news. The area must have looked spectacular at one time its just a shame they let it get to this state before doing anything about it. Here is a little history of the place, I'll let you make your own conclusion. Thank you.... http://www.rivingtonheritagetrust.co.uk/index.php/gardens/history/

The backlighting works superbly here Lee. And I enjoyed frittering away a few minutes with Mr. Google learning more about this place.
