Paint me like one of your French girls... by graemestevens

Paint me like one of your French girls...

Not to mention doing a little bit of shameless promotion for an excellent product, I'm also painting the house. I have been for the last week (2 hours after work every night)...I've nearly finished one wall...
Nice high key. Have fun with that painting.

Did you every consider using a roller or sprayer? Jus' sayin'. Cool hi-key, anyway. :)
March 12th, 2016
I admire your dedication ... that must be a very large wall!
March 12th, 2016
Good on you! The only paint I know how to do is face paint!
March 12th, 2016
I really like your processing and the focus on your brush. And the way it all fades into the white borders. Very cool shot. And have fun with that painting.

Super high key!

@bigugly Thanks very much and so far, no.
@juliedduncan It's a weatherboard house so it would have to be a small roller and that's even more time consuming...and a sprayer uses more paint and being half Scottish...well...why should I pay for more? Besides which, I find it therapeutic. I haven't had the urge to slaughter anyone all week...maybe
@aecasey So do I - it's the longest wall of the house so I thought I'd get it out of the way first...
@taffy Thank you very much - the brush is the key and this one, being one of the many that I sell and have in my arsenal, is the best money can buy (or not in my case...)
@kwind Thanks very much :)

@graemestevens Curiosity...do you literally make these brushes? Or produce them? Or like them and carry them in a store? Question asked as outdoor stairs need painting...learning about paint/brushes.

Paint on, paint off! Cool pic!!
March 12th, 2016
@graemestevens Well, they say painting is good for the soul! :)
March 12th, 2016
@graemestevens I just totally made that up. ;)
March 12th, 2016
Nice processing . I like the fade out of the edges and the texture in the cloth.
March 12th, 2016
Lovely high key with great white fade-out. Very French. :) Three coats is a bugger. Good for you.
March 12th, 2016
I don't envy you with all that painting every few years. Lots of weatherboards in Geelong, but not for this black duck. Great shot though, love the high-key.

@taffy I work for Dulux and sell these (among other things) so I'm just doing a bit of advertising really...the painters that I deal with as a lowly sales rep seem to like them as well...
@photographycrazy Thanks very much - the paint better not paint off ;)
@juliedduncan Yes, you did..but I like it
@gardencat Thanks very much :)
@rosiekerr Thank you kindly - three coats is indeed a bugger
@golftragic Our place is weatherboard as well but I'm using high quality Dulux product so I should get 10 years...I hope

@graemestevens Very sensible, if you have to do the job, use only the best.
March 12th, 2016
Now I see the human side of you.
March 12th, 2016

March 12th, 2016

March 12th, 2016
Awesome high key shot...good luck with DIY painting project.
March 12th, 2016
What Yao said...cool high key!
March 12th, 2016
Super high key! Ugh I suppose you're inspiring me to repaint a room or two in my house...
March 12th, 2016
Fabulous shot! Love the lighting!

@nanderson Thanks very much :)
@juleshoogstraanderson Thank you very much :)
@annied Aren't I though - it's high time it was painted though, the neighbours were beginning to think I didn't care. I don't.
@jaynspain I find it quite therapeutic...
@yaorenliu It happens every now and then...
March 12th, 2016
