Lucy

We had the unenviable task of choosing a photo for Lucy's urn today which was far from easy.

I'll be back shortly and resuming "normal" service but sheesh, this is all a bit draining. Thank you all for your kind comments and thoughts.
She looks so happy and content in this picture. There's always a huge hole left behind when the times comes for them to cross the rainbow bridge.

Beautiful. And we will be in the same position soon, Paddy was given three months with his Bowl Canser Graeme, but up till now he's proved to them he's going to hang on a bit longer, he's not in pain and can still have fun in the Garden.

Oh no...I've totally been behind and didn't realize you'd faced this loss. I'm so so sorry to read this has happened. Dogs bring so much joy to our lives, but as one of our friends described it, "The minute to let a dog enter your life, you have started down the road to heartbreak." But the time in between is to be treasured. My thoughts are with you.

This is terrible Graeme, I'm so sorry. I always feel they deserve many more years - so much more than some human beings I'm afraid... particularly shy, sweet Lucy. I'm sorry you and your family had such a rough, unhappy stretch of days :( and hopefully Wiz is doing ok in all of this, too. xo

@kerosene Thank you - Wiz is okay, a bit sad which is to be expected as he's never been alone, but we're all getting there...where ever there may be
