Natural Decay

The anti urban decay shot. There is a wonderful line of giant old chesnut trees I walk under on my way to work, and unfortunately all of them have some sort of desease. They look sickly starting in June and there leaves will soon turn brown. The tree is bare about 1-2 months before other trees are as well. Sad indeed.
It is sad. Does make a good picture. Like the contrast between the decay and the sky.

Really interesting shot! It's a shame these beautiful trees are diseased. I hope whatever it is isn't bad enough to kill them off completely.

Touché...I was wondering when somebody would enter a plant in this Theme!

Similar to the buckeye trees here, but without the decay...

So sad, but it made for a beautiful shot! The main street in my hometown is lined with chestnut trees, and I love them! They are so beautiful in spring, with their gorgeous white blooms, and in fall it's a delight to collect the shiny new chestnuts...

Richfield Springs is near Cooperstown/Utica. Now I'm in MA. Husband and I met at Univ. of Rochester, so I've been out your way. Look forward to following you too!

We have this virus in UK as well. It's sad to see the leaves succombing before the true autumn sets in. Old before their time.....not a good habit to get into!!
