Being a spectator at a Cross Country Meet can be tricky business. There is a big flurry of excitement at the start of the race and then, frankly, there is a lot of waiting around to see if your kids actually manage to make it back out of the woods.... Today's Meet had the good sense to be held at an absolutely gorgeous State Park a few towns over. While the boys ran around the lovely scenic lake a couple of times, I made the most of my waiting around time. It was tough, I tell ya... I think Mr. Heron here was keeping an eye out for the leaders. :-)
