Harvest on hold for Hurricane Hermine! by homeschoolmom

Harvest on hold for Hurricane Hermine!

Everything is in a holding pattern waiting for Hurricane Hermine to pass through. It's been raining fairly hard for 24 hours now. They eye of the storm is supposed to pass us about 2 a.m. So, pretty much everything is cancelled tomorrow because of the rain and some flash flooding in areas, which means the Lee County Panthers will not play the Harnett Hurricanes tomorrow for the first football game of the season.
See you are in for a soaking and hope that is all.

We are supposed to get the tail end of it on Sunday- just as the Garlic Festival is finishing up. I hope it waits a little longer than that! Stay safe!

@joansmor @kwind @linnypinny @randystreat @brigette @olivetreeann Thankfully, we are far enough inland that we are only getting rain, which we desperately need.

So the Hurricanes can't play due to a hurricane? Hope the crops and the community fairs well.

Great capture. I hope everyone is okay there. I've been following the hurricane progression on the news.

A lovely rural scene, hope the storm passes uneventfully

@lynbonn Isn't that too funny? LOL! The storm left our area about 2 a.m., but it's too wet and muddy. Since they mostly play on the high schools' fields, they had to be cancelled.
