So there I was, playing with a wine glass that cracked in the dishwasher, when I thought the shot would look soooo much better with the stupidly expensive, big crystal wine glasses. The set-up had been rock-steady all afternoon until... it keeled over mid-pour.
The glass survived. I think.
I really should know better...

Woah! This is amazing! Love the colour, angle, and the way you managed to capture all the tiny little bubbles in the glass! Awesome shot! Water shots are so much fun to do and look at! :-)
@mcdermgl With an off-camera flash. It's essentially the same technique Gavin Hoey uses for water drops (youtu.be/fwExpFDUC9Y) - firing the flash onto a white background (here I used white drawing paper taped to the wall), and the camera set to the flash synch speed.
Oh No! But what a great shot you got in the process!! you can see the swirl in the water, and I love that the liquid is pouring on the side and not into it-- gives it an unexpected edge -- very cool :)
Should I say I am glad the glass tipped mid pour...FANTASTIC.
I have tried some feeble attempts at doing this sort of thing but never succeed, well done
I just went out and bought 3 cheap wine glasses for my shot today. Of course, when you use cheap glasses, the will never break. Murphy's Law of Photography, I guess :)
I really like the liquid on the outside of the glass, it looks great, it's not something you see very often. If it was intentional or not, you did a great job on this one.
