Grey

Today was soooo dull and miserable. So gloomy that there wasn't enough contrast for the autofocus to lock onto the horizon.
Fortunately, this little yacht came along and provided a focal (and focus!) point. Not very exciting, but then it wasn't.

I've added a texture to try make it look a but like an old painting. Doesn't really show up properly unless viewed large though. :(

The texture is #1 in this pack by Inadesign-Stock on DeviantArt:

No need for :( H, this is ace! Minimalist, monotones, moody.........further alliteration fails me, but I do love it, so there! :))

Just beautful. And yes, it really makes such a difference to view it large. Definitely looks like a painting. Wonderful job. A fav for me.

I love this! The boat looks so insignificant on that vast expanse of water. Reminds me of old B&W films in which "special effects" consisted of someone moving a toy boat across a grey screen.

FAV for me. Such beautiful tones and love the simplicity. The texture to it is just perfect. Really stunning.

Only you could make this work well! The small boat really pops, and the mood of the shot rocks! I so agree with @ladyjane's comment!

@bardejov I use Photoshop Elements 10 and a layer blend mode of either overlay or soft light. :)
