We went to Lindisfarne island today, just across the bay from where we're staying but we had to time our visit as the causeway is only accessible at low tide. As you can see we made it back with plenty of time to spare, but we could have made use of this handy refuge shelter if we'd got stuck. Not sure what we'd have done with the car though.
I'm glad it's flash of red month, I probably wouldn't have thought of converting this to b&w but it looks so much better than the colour version. I was thinking about lines and shapes again for this. The shadows helped a lot.
Thanks for all your lovely comments on the priory yesterday, we went to Lindisfarne Priory today which is incredible too. Irish monks settled here in 635 AD so it has been a place of pilgrimage for a long, long time.
