5/365:Christmas dusk

Leaving aside the % of moisture, winter temperatures in the mediterranean climate are usually quite moderate
How do you make the colors come pop out? I can never figure out how to capture outdoor night scenes. Mine just always come out well.. dark.

@sweeps, I shoted this in "Aperture priority mode" (Av or A). In this one I pushed a little up the ISO until 500, keeping aperture at f5:0. Then camera let me take the picture hand held at 1/50s speed. After that with an editing software I adjusted brightness, contrast (or levels), sharpness and pushed up colors a little playing with saturation. I hope this will be useful... Many thanks for your comments

You must have steady hands! I can never pull this off handheld, it will come out blurry. Thanks for the info though.

You're welcome @sweeps Not really, It was so dificult for me to keep my hands steady. It was a windy day and I had cold hands the picture has some blur and I abuse a little of sharpening mask to try to correct it. I forget to tell you that it is important to carry on a mini tripod which can hold the weight of your point & shoot or dslr.
