"Beam me up, Scotty."

Tim Peake's Space Ship at the National Railway Museum, York, England.
This tiny scorched craft brought 3 men safely to Earth after their 6 month stay in the International Space Station. It's the cramped size of a tiny car, big enough I suppose for a short journey from space...

@stevepo Indeed it is - as if anybody NEEDS a reason or excuse! It's there until March (8 I think). there is a VR display for £6.
Hope you manage to get there & enjoy this unique experience.

Impressive sight but I have a fear of small spaces

@fbailey Does that mean you won't be training to be an Astronaut? Apparantly the Space Station is the size of a 5 bedroom house, lots of room, it's just the journey to and from that's cramped. Interesting though, and a chance to see something so very special.

Pretty amazing to know that is what brought them all the way back to earth! Great shot.

How amazing. I don’t think I would have liked riding in it

@fntngrma @jgpittenger It's small enough to be tight for a single person dressed in a bulky space suit, but for 3 a definite crush. It's obviously more than adequate given this system has been used since the early days of space exploration, well tested over decades. I couldn't resist going to see it, and judging by the crowds many share my interest. It's a once in a life time opportunity.
Many thanks to you both for your comments

Wow crazy shot!

@bokehdot Thank you very much. It's astonishingly small for 3 people but they are back safely so there must be enough room.
