'Twas a slow photo day today, so I have gone to my collection of shells on the toilet window sill for this one. Not entirely sure what this is, bit it did look interesting when held up to the light.
Such a pretty shell. I would have guessed a Sand dollar too, although I don't know if you get them in Australia. I have one on my window sill too that I found on Vancouver Island, but I don't recall seeing any in WA (we lived in Perth for 10 years). And mine looks a little different to yours.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sand_dollar
@alophoto@alophoto@kiwichick@paulaw@888rachel thanks to you all for helping identify this thing. My husband did tell me it was a sand dollar, but I didn't believe him, as it is much bigger than the ones I had seen before. @janemartin Of course I washed my hands, you are getting a bit cheeky lol!
@amfrumbiddivurd You have done well to remember it from 30 years ago! I thought it may have been a starfish skeleton too, turns out it is a sand dollar, a really big one.
I found this! it was a sea urchin skeleton I found not a starfish (mums bad guessing!) https://sp.yimg.com/xj/th?id=OIP.Mee757ba185f57a9796e51090f07d7d6aH0&pid=15.1&P=0&w=300&h=300
