We slipped the mooring early so that we could sail to Cowes in good time to explore Osborne House and grounds. It was the favourite retreat of Queen Victoria, and is furnished and decorated as it would have been in her lifetime. This table in the Durbar Room was set for only twenty four guests; she was apparently very fond of her food and could entertain up to seventy!
