@cejaanderson @nanm @deu49097 I am pretty sure the slashes are vapor trails from aircraft; too symmetrical to have been natural. This location is a few miles north of a Marine Corps Air Station (Miramar)- that may be related.
I was on a 3 minute break & snapped this using the "Very Vibrant" setting on my Canon PowerShot.

Great processing on the sky. I've been hearing about chemtrails lately, and these look like them. Thanks, by the way, for your warning about getting stung while taking bee pictures--will try to be careful.
