Walberswick To Southwold Ferry Hut

SOOC. We went on the ferry across to Southwold just before lunch to get some fish and chips (well, you have to when your at the seaside!) and as we were eating, the sky was getting darker and more threatening so we decided to get the ferry back to Walberswick. We managed to get back to our house just as the heavens opened, and the thunder and lightening started!!

A little row boat will take you across the river between Walberswick and Southwold to save you walking up to the bridge and back again just to cross the river. I will post a photo of the ferry boat later!
Aside from the storm it sounded like a fun day. Why is it that fish and chips taste even more wonderful when dining by the sea or any type of water? Yum! Nice sooc and I can just feel those sea breezes and smell the air.

@cimes1 Hi Carole, you are so right - they always taste better near the water!! We watch the fishing boats go out from the harbour each morning and return full of fish! You can't get much fresher than that!
