The teachers strike looks like it might drag on for weeks if not months. So every morning the kids do a little bit of work at home before we make the most of our "extra" holiday time.
And in the meantime I'm happily playing with my new lens :)
@kali66@maggiemae@frida@lorrainelouise@gosia Thank you all for your comments and favs. Maggie this is a very long running labour dispute and usually the teachers have been legislated back to work. This time both sides are standing strong. We had strikes at the end of last year and kids missed their end of year field trips and sporting events. We finished up school 2 weeks early! Daycares are full and the government has offered parents $40 per day for each child under 13 that is registered in school (money that should be going into resolving this dispute!). Things are a mess here but parents are coping, at least in our area.
