Today is the 2nd anniversary of the devastating Christchurch earthquake when 187 people lost their lives. Others lost family and friends, homes and businesses. Things were changed forever. The city was in ruins, and thousands of orange and white cones lined the streets of rubble. The first Christmas, people decorated the cones with tinsel, stars, solar powered flashing lights - it was amazing. Today, all the cones are decorated with flowers to mark the 2nd anniversary.
I heard yesterday that grief never leaves us, we just learn to deal with it, and each of us to that in our own way. A great tribute to all those in New Zealand who have moved on despite difficulties faced. Two years, time goes by fast.
