Finally the skies cleared, out came the stars so out went I. Struggling to get focus just like ET struggled to phone home. I may try again tonight if I can stay awake.
@bella_ss Teehee - just call it creative licence - actually I think it is the roofline of my house although it looked a bit like a telephone line for ET. A meteor would have been a more exciting explanation.. I have seen satellites crossing through the 'pot' other times though.
@bella_ss Maybe you are right - I did go back and have another look really zoomed in and it could very well be a bit of space junk (aka meteor). I will own it then. Thanks for the push to re-check - and the follow.
@kiwinanna Yes, maybe even a satellite but still something moving in the sky :) I usually don't see them until look at the computer.
I thought I already followed you :)
If you can, turn off autofocus and manually focus to infinity. This looks pretty sharp except for a few stars on the right side. Not sure if it is camera movement or the movement of the stars.
@skipt07 Hi Skip I did have manual focus on infinity so I think it is movement of the stars (20 seconds as I did get lots of movement at 30sec) - or I didn't quite have my infinity focus correct. I'm working on that next time there is a cloudless night sky. Thanks for your advice. Much appreciated.
