It is the height of summer so it is certainly not time for leaves to fall but it is just so dry and hot.
Feeling such sympathy for our Tasman neighbours who have been evacuated due to the 6th day of a raging forest fire. We are on high alert too as the forests and hills are tinder dry and there is wind! Here's hoping we don't get a flash of red fire.
