It's cranberry harvest season on Cape Cod and my cousin (@cristiehicks) alerted me to the fact that a local bog was flooded this week for harvest. A group of mallard ducks took up residence in the newly created "pond" and I couldn't resist this guy, who kept his eye on me every time I got too close. I posted a photo of the bigger picture of the bog in my "Another Take" album.
he's gorgeous in the sunlight! i like the rings around his bill as he drinks, cool bit of grass in the foreground, nice collection of berries ... great comp! beautiful pic!
Aren't ducks fun? This is a great shot of the colors in this boy.. and those bobbles of color on the newly created pond highlight his color.. what a nice shot!
What a lovely bright shot. I don't really know about cranberry harvesting - they flood the area to harvest? Are these stray berries then or will they be collected? Whatever, the mix in this photo is great!
For me it´s like a book picture..things that I´ve only seen in books..how fantastic is that?? Incredible! That´s what´s the best about this project..we can see so much of other´s people routine and get amazed by their view. This is beautiful!
