Silver birch silhouette

I had several candidates to use for today's shot, off my latest roll of film - but this one just edged it.

Shot on film, then HDR and edit in Photoshop. The perfect symbiosis of old and new. (Or something like that?!)
Nice. Did you scan the neg?

@howiemarsh
When I get the film processed, I get a CD of the shots as well as prints, so I can just import from there into Lightroom. :)

I usually get my negatives scanned and posted online when I get them developed, but I'm thinking of switching to CD. A, as a means of storage/back-up and B, they scan those at higher quality than they do the online uploads.

I usually just get copies on CD, but I now have a film scanner, and a b/w about to finish in my Olympus trip! :)

@howiemarsh Can I ask what kind of film scanner you went with? That's REALLY the approach I want to take, scanning my own, but I'm having a time finding one that will scan both 35mm and 120 film.

It's a Primefilm 1800. It's not the best, but then it was cheap on ebay! :) I've done a comparison with the one I get on disc, and it's not quite up to that standard, but very handy for all my old pics!
