Fade like a star

It is interesting how this rose bloom faded like a star.
I also love how the camera rendered the reds. It usually successfully fails at this task.

Well spotted Moni. And you’re right about red. The saturation that is added to jpegs in-camera often renders them a blotchy mess with no detail. You have avoided that fate here, probably because the rose appears to be in shade. Nicely done.

@shutterbug49 Debbie, it's the sensor, not you, that's causing that trouble. I read that camera's do have issues with reds.

I like shooting in the sun, with harsh shadows. But this time I thought I'd use a 'trick' from Emma Davies' course (reach out the arm to shade the subject). Amd indeed it made all the difference.
