Thursday Volunteer Work

Today, I had my volunteer work at the Logan Art Gallery. It was a morning shift; and this morning, we had two large classes from John Paul College booked in. It took up the whole first shift for them both to be shown through!
during that time, we had one child go home sick (his Mum picked him up) and another ran into the glass door on the way out of the work room; and so I got him some ice in a tea towel for him (he wasn't pleased about how glass tends to do that).
The second class were good too; a lot of them were saying hello to us as they walked past the desk and were taken on their tour of the Gallery's current exhibition of 'Timber' (closing next week). I finished at 1:30pm and caught a cab home (and the driver took me the longest way around possible).
But this morning, before the groups showed up, the workers of the gallery had to pick up some art work at the Logan City Council. Well, they pulled out THE BIGGEST ROLL OF BUBBLE WRAP I'VE EVER SEEN! When the art work came back - fully wrapped up - they could barely fit it through the doors! I'm lucky to pull off this shot of the roll of bubble wrap! :D
We also sold two hand-made wooden pencil holders for $30. The guy wanted to buy the whole box of them for a business to gift another business overseas. He thought they'd look good. But he only bought the two to see if they'd work first.

Yep, never a dull moment at an art gallery! :D
