Change of Season Cold by mozette

Change of Season Cold

Over the weekend, I caught a change of season URTI off somebody; and I know who it was (the guy I volunteered with at the Logan Art Gallery who was blowing his nose and sounding a little nasal... why did he come in if he wasn't feeling 100%?).
Well, now, I've got what he had. And I'm using everything I know to get rid of it as fast as possible without giving it to some other poor soul. Yep! I've gone all out today and bought up big on sanitary gel, cough drops, Telfast (well, okay, I got that on Saturday), and onions and garlic.

Why onions? Well... well, there's a cure I have had given to me when I was trying to shake a cough once and it works like a charm.

Ingredients: 1 Onion chopped into cubes, Sugar, shallow bowl.
Method: put the onion chopped into small/tiny cubes and opened up, into the shallow bowl and sprinkle sugar over it liberally until it looks like snowy mountains. Cover and leave overnight in the fridge. The next day, sip (not gulp) two tablespoons of the elixir you find in the bottom of the bowl. This will help clear out your lungs. It doesn't taste like onions and you can't use the onions again. I've sworn by this remedy for many years.
