Logan City Forum

Today, I was out and about in Logan City. I've known about the Logan City Forum for writers for a couple of years now, and have attended a few of their meetings. However, they are hard to get to for me; and I found a couple of the people a little stand-offish (only the international authors who didn't talk to anyone; so I wasn't the only one snubbed. Besides, they weren't invited back after not paying for their own coffees at a nearby cafe the last time I attended last year).

Today, it poured rain while we all chatted about writing, took out 30 seconds each to talk about what we all did and introduced ourselves; then had a few guest speakers. I even got an article about what other hobby I do in the Southside Bulletin; along with two other authors from Logan City! Very Cool.
If they can't pay for their own coffees, the cheapskates, ban them I say!

@sabresun yeah, apparently, they just got up, collected their things and walked out... didn't say goodbye, or nice to meet ya, nothing. And didn't even thank the host for inviting them. Then, they left her with their massive bill of their coffee and brunch... it was horrible.

@mozette That attitude of theirs is nothing to do with writing. It is just plain bad manners.

Well it doesn't sound like a warm and fuzzy group at all, nothing I would want to be a part of anyway.

@digitalrn It was one of the main reasons why I stopped going last time. However, I have been assured that the people who go now are serious writers who are out to get published, won't insult you for how you are and are very encouraging every step of the way... so I'm giving them a go. :)
