Knocker's the stories they could tell!!!

Think I may start my own series on this subject. Amazing how many different ones you will see in a lifetime!!! Problem is I may arouse some suspicion pointing a long lens or worse still getting up close just for a good shot of the knocker.
knockers - a word my dad used - not in this context though hahahaha
i love doors - and hence handles - and knockers - and knobs :)

like the smooth brass against the rough testure of the door.

Nice one! It reminds me of that lovely bit of graffiti... "Knock softly but firmly. I like firm but soft knockers!"

I have to FAV this... I love them too. This is a great capture well composed and great light!!
We probably do not have as many interesting ones in this part of the country...but I would love to see a series of them. When we were in Savannah Georgia a couple of years ago there were lovely ones well worth photographing ... way before 365!

I like the image of you going along the street taking photos of door knockers...would give anybody strange ideas!!! This one has a great lion face....a very grand door!

Knockerholism, you may have to get therapy. As far as knockers go, this is the Rolls Royce amongst them.

Sticking your camera in someone's knockers is probably a risk worth taking.

Like this - nice idea too! But go carefully - you know how people are, and the world we live in! :)

I once, back in film days, did a series of doors in Germany. Lovely designs and colours etc. No problem at all. But I wouldn't do it here, now! (GB)

Nice shot... and lovely knocker =) I recently had a similar dilemma when a robin I was chasing flew into a neighbours garden... the thought of me peeping over the hedge and pointing at the front of their house with a long lens on made me think twice! lol
