St Etheldreda, Old Hatfield in the rain!!!

Yep a grey shot for a grey day, sorry about the raindrop in the shot but it was throwing down with rain, I had parked illegally or so I was being told, what was I doing I was asked and all I wanted was a picture. Not the best day today, the Doctor of Pain upped the level in my guitar lesson as I had done so well, doesn't sound right does it, do well and get more complicated rhythm exercises. The weather was crap, wet and cold. But as ever there is an upside I have booked a week in India later in the year with Mrs P, the down side I now have to tell her. 20 days left approx and thanks for all the interest in the envelopes etc
India....now there's a photo op for us to look forward to!! You mean she doesn't know...how I wish someone would book a lovely holiday for me & surprise me!!! That sounds bad when I am off to NZ on Wednesday but it's not a surprise!! A very nice church on a hill!

Nice shot even in rain, I had a similar experience on the top of the Galleria car par got told they could make me delete picture I took from up there ! I asked what they would do to Google Earth !!

How super for Mrs P --and yourself of course !! nIce shot even in the rain -some humans do not understand the needs of a photographer when he sees something he needs to shoot !! Super b&w capture , the church on the hill will not be flooded with all the rainwater draining down & away from it

Nice shot Padlock and lucky Mrs P going to India. I'm sure she will be pleased. If she's cross, you can always take me! LOL

Just about sums up the weather. Good luck with the complicated rhythm exercises, no pain no gain. Oh and India, how fabulous, definitely on my list!

Great pov - the drops on the lens just add to the dismal day effect!

I can't wait to see India through your lens!

A lovely but damp image! Love your POV through the open gate. Perhaps you looked like a terrorist taking photos of church? hahah!
India? Wonderful! A surprise for Mrs.P.

Looks like a stunning church

Yes, we've heard about all the rain you've been having. This is a great b&w image, despite the rain.

Why will telling Mrs P about the India trip be a downside? Will she not want to go? Whereabouts in India are you going?

@dh Hi Delena, no probs just a total surprise for her. We went to an evening arranged by our local travel agent and Mr's P said India looked different, now we will find out. Think we fly into Delhi then Agra for 7 days as a taster of India as they say.

A nicely composed shot - the wet weather really is a challenge when trying to take photos!

How exciting about India. If Mrs P isn't up for it, I will go!!! (But only if Mrs P will come and feed my pigs for me.....)

What a pretty church, even on such a very wet grey day! I bet Mrs P will be hopping about in joy when you tell her about the trip! What a lovely surprise :)

really sums up the rain - so miserable and grey - and I keep losing shots because the lens is covered in droplets too - another volunteer to go to India if Mrs P doesn't want to play
