Lexie is Free

Last week little Lexie, who is about 8 months old. was in a shelter in North Carolina. They were full and her time was up. Fortunately, volunteers from Pointer Rescue Organization managed to get her out on Friday and a nice lady drive her to us on Monday afternoon. We have posted her picture and she already has an adoption application from a pair of retired professors in Maryland. Unfortunately, the poor girl got sick in the shelter, so we have her more or less on bed rest, eating chicken soup and antibiotics. We hope she is better soon, because we know she will want to run and play and celebrate her freedom and her new life.
Nice story that ended well for Lexie. I hope she recovers soon.
