This is a photo of my wife’s favourite flower. The poppy we inherited with the house, as it appears every year from under a dry stone wall and spreads very quickly across our garden path. It produces three large poppy flowers but they seem to last only a few days. Less than hour after I took this shot a fairly sudden and violent rainstorm put pay to this year. I took this from at least three feet away so I’m rather impressed with clarity of the image.
