Still going strong by pattyblue

Still going strong

I really liked the full skirt on this fuchsia seen in a garden on my walk yesterday.
I didn't realise what a long flowering season they have and as you can see there are still more fat buds waiting to open.
It's gone quite chilly now so I don't know how they will fare with the overnight frosts that we are getting..
What a unique color mix. Beautiful

Beautiful, fuchsias always remind me of the Red Hat Society ladies.

What lovely rich colours. I do tend to agree with Babs ... and I have oft thought it is time I bought myself a red hat. I have never had any red clothing items!

I’m also amazed at the length of their flowering season (still going strong in my garden). This is a striking variety, beautifully captured.

They are delightful things to look at. I have been surprised. Even my roses are still blooming despite the frost

The red and purple really pop against the dark green foliage. I had not realised what a long flowering season fuchsias had, either!

Beautiful shot and flower. I'm unable to keep fuchsias alive, no matter how much I tried.

Great capture of this pretty flower.
( There are species that can survive frost. I do n`t think this is one of them so you have to put it inside the house when frozen. )
