Aston Hall by pattyblue

Aston Hall

I had this shot and another of the full hall and wrestled over which one to post. I decided on this one as I thought it was a bit more interesting through the trees.
Aston Hall was built in 1635 for Sir Thomas Holte who was a wealthy land owner in the area and is now owned by Birmingham Museums Trust.
The Hall is open daily to the public in normal times except for Aston Villa home match days due to its close proximity to the football ground.
An absolutely beautiful building. I have many memories of visits there as a child. Fabulous framing here.

Beautifully framed by the branches… It’s been a long time since I visited Aston Hall, but I have some happy memories from many years back.
