great shot of a puffball - if it's 10 inches across, then it's a giant puffball - if you see them the stage before that, they puff spores when you touch them (kick usually) - love the details. They make good eating when still white

I wouldn't eat that one now - but when they are fresh and white all the way through puffballs are good eating (but you have to beat the insects which also reckon they're edible)
