Queen of toadstools

We`ve been to a heath-land last Sunday . It`s autumn , season of the fungus and they where already there. Next couple of days are for them started with the queen of toadstools : the red/with spotted one.
Fabulous capture! This looks like one of the Aminitas or Deadly Nightshades here in the US. Lovely to look at - deadly to eat.

Beautiful fungus. How large was it? I have never seen one in real life. Are they edible?

OK... This is not what I had pictured in my mind when you said fungus. But I knew it would be beautiful if you were taking the picture. I was right! I love it when that happens! Beautiful shot. I'll look forward to more!

that is an incredible fungus...I don't think we get anything like that here in Australia, so it is nice to be able to see one through this site.

All the pretty ones are mostly poisonous. this one is extra pretty. I'm looking forward to seeing some more.
